5 Saturdays. 1.5 hours per class Follow-up, weekly classes. 75-page workbook. GOAL: to understand your (own) stress responses and equip you with the tools to help you out of them. Whether they are held in your body or your mind. Fight Flight Freeze Fawn Shutdown These are survival-based behaviors in response to stress, triggers, or past traumas and chronic unmet needs that show up as: -pain -fatigue -anger & irrational responses -shutdown -keeping away from people -perfectionism -hormonal or guy issues -resistance -procrastination -Unwelcome chronic body or mental-based experience that has developed over time You will learn a basic explanation and a deep understanding of the nervous system and why it so the foundation of your healing and your growth. You will learn how to draw and map your own nervous system and those of the people around you. This will give you a picture of where you are at, how your experiencing what you are feeling, and what you can do to move out of unpleasant sensations, pain, and negative thought processes. You will learn HOW trauma and chronic unmet needs are STORED in your body and how to begin the process of moving through them in order for them to release their grip on you. Start to meet your own needs without guilt or shame and start the process of not collecting more trauma. Learn the different states of the nervous system, how they work for you when they keep you stuck, and what you need to support yourself in each. Learn how to self-regulate, self-soothe, and mobilize yourself into a grounded, connected and healthy action. Learn how to start and continue on your own self-healing journey – help your body deal with chronic symptoms, pain or mental anxiety, and stress Develop the tools to regulate yourself when you are in survival mode - including VAGAL toning, somatic journaling, breath work, sound therapy, body scanning, body swimming, and movement-based resets. This course is filled with so much more, but more importantly, you’ll be around a group of women who will also support you in your journey. The course is facilitated by me - someone who truly can meet you where you are with an open heart and centered mind and help show you your own road map out of chronic stress.
